A free Linux distro will be bundled with this magazine and we schedule a 3months interval release in other to keep up with news and happenings in the open source world. Keep i touch.

ORACLE'S AQCUISITION OF SUN. HOW FAR & HOW WELL?
Open Solaris, MySQL, Java and more are some reasons the Open Source community is concerned about Oracle's next move as they get even closer to their first release of Solaris since aqcuiring SUN. Buying out their competitor in MySQL, would Oracle fulfill their promise of allowing both technologies grow or would there be fowl play of some sort to promote their native application? What happens with Java and other Java oriented projects? Virtual Box and more? All these questions i'm sure would be on the minds of experts in the Open Source worls. Although Orqcle has indeed made promises, we wait to see if they would be fulfilled in line with what is expected.

PLANS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR PANDA ANTI-VIRUS

We at Bensoft Enterprise are close to providing Panda Anti-virus Support for our esteemed clients. We all know about worms and malicious programmes crippling your windows O.S every now and then and expect to curtail this threat by affiliating ourselves with Panda-Anti Virus for both Windows and Linux Platforms so our customers can enjoy some level of security and stability after installations from us at now extra charge. Updates should be easy and painless. You'ld be the first to know when this package is fully available.
STREAMING WITH REDHAT LINUX
We've been undergoing a study for sometime now on how best to provide streaming services through Redhat Enterprise Linux, especially with the immense demand for some of our clients in Nigeria. We would appreciate articles on this venture from anyone that has an idea of how best to tweak RHEL to get this project up and running. We know RHEL provides great support for this.

NOVELL'S PLANNED SALE OF IT'S COMPANY
Is the Open Source Community about to witness another shocker? A couple of years back when i heard the news of Novell dinning with our number one Open Source Enemy Microsoft, i never thought the deal would hold sway. Till this day i still dont understand what the entire deal was about. Reading a couple of articles online has prompted me to ask, where is Novell headed. We sure would miss them if they decide to sell their assets to Microsoft for we all know how the story would go.

WORKING WITH JBOSS 2.0
Deploying I.T solutions with JBoss is one of our primary targets for 2010 and beyond, so the first step was of course to use our active days Redhat Subscription to acquire this baby. For users, developers or Firms seeking to carve out cost, use a quality development toolkit, or a state of the art artilary software for standard output ( or maybe you're seeking a success story), JBoss is the thing for you.
