Xen + Quemu

Virtualisation in the open source world has come to stay and on RHELinux or Fedora, their seem to be an advancement compared to other Operating systems around. Running MS Windows Operating systems, Mac and other Linux O.S has become as easy as it can be. Fedora and RHELinux provides two virtualisation applications namely Xen and Quemu (which was acquired by Redhat).

Quemu is particularly faster and more flexible obviously as it is directly supported by Redhat, but i find Xen really smooth and useful whenever i feel like testing out a guest O.S. You can have your Guest O.S enlarge to fit your Monitor screen completely or minimised.

VirtualBOX

A product of SUNJava. This virtualisation toolkit is smooth fast and was built on a solid technology. It posses so many versions for different Operating system, Fedora, Ubuntu, Suse, Mandrake, Solaris, MS Windows and more.

I tried it out and was really impressed but my only problem was VirtualBOX not giving me the option of a full screen resolution unlike Xen or Quemu in Fedora.

VMware

A commercial Virtualisation toolkit available for MS Windows, Mac and Unix or Linux Oprerating systems. VMware has been in the virtualisation market ever since the inception of Virtualisation itself and provides Windows users the ability to try out Virtualisation.

Save Cost

Virtualisation when used for productive reasons in larger scaled industries, or offices helps you to save cost in so many ways. Why have mutliple P.C's when you can do it all on one, run multiple O.S and applications. Run multiple servers, reduce spending on Hardwares, make file sharing easy and much more.
